It was a tough day for the rookies with Lando Norris finishing highest of all the rookies in eleventh ahead of Alexander Albon in twelfth, whilst George Russell finished fourteenth with Antonio Giovinazzi retiring after twenty laps.
With ten laps to go in the 2019 British Grand Prix, Alexander Albon looked set to finish a fine eighth, but as an unusual power unit issue meant his tyres went off the performance cliff, the Thai-born British rookie dropped to twelfth by the finish.
